Ikos Iberia Announces New Project in Spain: Ikos Porto Petro

Madrid, September 15th, 2021. Ikos Resorts, the fast-growing hotel chain, owner and operator of 5-star luxury all-inclusive resorts, today announced the acquisition of the Blau Porto Petro hotel, located in one of the best-preserved sites on the island of Mallorca, next to the Porto Petro marina and the Mondragó Natural Park. The company plans to convert it into the new “Ikos Porto Petro” following an estimated investment of 110 million euros.

Ikos Porto Petro will open its doors in April 2023 after a complete refurbishment of its facilities, with the aim of becoming the best luxury all-inclusive resort in Mallorca. With this third acquisition in Spain and Portugal, Ikos Resorts expands its offering of the Ikos Infinite Lifestyle experience in Spain, a concept which redefines the 5-star luxury all-inclusive offer. Ikos Resorts has already been recognized by TripAdvisor for several years in a row as number 1 in the world in the Luxury All Inclusive category.

Ikos Porto Petro will have a total of 319 rooms with an exclusive and elegant design, including seafront suites equipped with terraces and private pools. The company plans to expand the hotel by 115 rooms in 2024, completing the Resort's offer with a total of 434 rooms.

Located between two beautiful beaches (Calo des Homes Morts and Calo de Sa Torre), Ikos Porto Petro will have more than 100,000m2 of land on the seafront, offering incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea. The new resort will follow the Mediterranean-style design of the Ikos brand, while adapting to the characteristics of the new destination in Mallorca.

Ikos Porto Petro will have all the Ikos Infinite Lifestyle services designed for its exclusive guests, with an extensive premium gastronomic offer including 6 restaurants with menus curated by Michelin Star chefs, a choice of more than 300 wines (with assured presence of the best Mallorcan designations of origin), the exclusive Spa by Anne Semonin Paris and a sports area of over 10,000 m2 offering extensive sports facilities of the highest quality.

Ikos Porto Petro will become the chain's seventh property in Europe and the second in Spain. Ikos Resorts has six luxury all-inclusive resorts, with four of them located in Greece; Ikos Oceania and Ikos Olivia located on the Halkidiki Peninsula, Ikos Dassia in Corfu and Ikos Aria in Kos. In April 2021, Ikos Andalusia opened its doors in Estepona-Marbella, Spain, while Ikos Cortesia plans to open in Algarve/Albufeira in spring 2024.

Ikos Iberia continues to work on its expansion plan in Spain and Portugal, where it is proceeding with different options to develop two more resorts in the next four years with an investment plan of 300 million euros.
